He was born to James and Imogene Tackett Gussler in November of 1952. He was the 2nd child born to this union and the first son. Surviving are 5 sisters: Margaret Ann, Gayla Georgene, Cindy Louise, Betty Louise, and Margarette Irene Gussler. 2 Brothers: William Martin and James Floyd. He was preceded in death by his dad, James William Gussler, and a brother, John James Tackett Gussler. At the age of 12, he began to preach on the streets. That is when his ministry started. IN the mid 70's, he married Debbie Standfer. Their marriage produced 2 children, Jolena Raquel Gussler Smith, and Williard Scott Gussler III. Butter continued to preach the gospel throughout his life. His motto was always that he was a winner either way, if he went on to be the Lord, or if he was healed here. he loved to go to church, and he loved the outdoors. Fishing was something that he loved to do. He loved to joke around with others, the only things that he was serious about was God and family. I believe that if Butter could talk to us now, he would simply want us to love each other.
